A golfing documentary took me to the Algarve, which ’til then had escaped the ravages of tourism. A sleepy village provided the opportunity to photograph a profile of life as it was, and always had been. Over 50 years on, the elderly would no longer be with us, with the youngsters now the senior citizen. I wonder how it is for them nowadays!
