We were filming an English potter in Abuja, a small market town, before it became the new capital city. People from a mix of cultures congregated to sell their wares and socialise. For some it was chore, but others dressed to impress and had no qualms about being photographed. In the rural countryside I documented how life went on, in a timeless fashion.
